Local and global biodiversity is the basis of our existence. Our society and our ability to prosper as humans depend on the services provided by ecosystems. Would you like to actively promote biodiversity, recognize opportunities, take actions and minimize the harmful impact of shortsighted practices? We can help you reach your goals with our interdisciplinary expertise in the area of biodiversity.
Switzerland’s biodiversity footprint has grown in recent years, as we found in our study “Environmental Footprint of Switzerland”. While some initial improvements are visible, they are offset by a deterioration outside the country. There is still a great need for action to avoid reaching planetary limits.
Another of our studies shows that Switzerland is lagging behind in its efforts to reach international goals (Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, GBF).
