Within the framework of a multi-year capacity-expansion project in the district of Bern West, Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) is planning to renovate and expand Bern Railway Station, a task made difficult by space constraints and the need to maintain railway operations. The site perimeter extends 2.5 miles from the station’s western end to the Stöckacker and the Bümpliz Süd train stops. As the general planner, we are responsible for coordinating the efforts of all the specialist disciplines of the project team. The client benefits from our technical expertise and experience in coordinating major projects.
