Switzerland’s hospitality industry is struggling with labor shortages and high turnover. To address these issues, the national collective labor agreement (L-GAV) for the hospitality industry funds training and continuing education programs to make jobs more attractive and to encourage people to stay in the industry. We conducted a analysis of effectiveness of these training programs using reliable data obtained through online surveys. We then used our data to develop a five-stage effectiveness model and to derive recommendations to further promote use of the training programs.
