To meet the Canton of Zurich’s growing need for schoolroom space in a timely and cost-effective manner, the Canton of Zurich is looking for ways to streamline the planning and construction of its cantonal schools. We supported the building department in organizing and conducting a three-part workshop series with representatives from seven planning disciplines and the administration, and we developed a catalog of measures to optimize the procurement of cantonal schools.

• Providing process design, structural and procedural organization
• Organizing and moderating a series of three workshops with representatives from the fields of architecture, civil engineering, building physics, building services engineering, electrical engineering, laboratory and cost planning, involving the education department, the canton’s real estate officeand the building construction office
• Reviewing and iteratively consolidating the inputs in 18 measures
• Develop a catalog of measures with formulation specifications for a specific competition program
