We examined the feasibility of a heating network in the Hadlikon district of Hinwil. We developed supply options based on an analysis for the heating demand and the available heating potential. We assessed the technical hurdles and estimated the heat production costs, taking the potential heat suppliers into account. This allowed us to outline the necessary implementation steps and assess the municipality’s role. The feasibility study provides an essential basis for a heating supply system free of fossil fuels.
