The Civil Engineering Office of the City of Zurich (TAZ) commissioned us to complete a comprehensive assessment of a busy street in the Zurich district of Hottingen. The focus was on streetcar operation, bicycle traffic routing, bus stops, pedestrian zones and crossings, as well as heat-protection measures. We demonstrated the operational aspects with a traffic flow simulation. Our work has provided TAZ with a basis for implementing the urban mobility strategy in the Hottingerstrasse area.
