Mobility concepts are designed to specifically influence travel behavior within certain areas and to promote sustainable mobility in the long term. In practice, however, it remains unclear whether such concepts are truly effective. We investigated this question in selected areas using statistically supported hypothesis tests in collaboration with our project partners (Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Trafiko AG and Bernhard UVB). Our work provides public authorities, developers and planning offices with a basis for designing effective mobility concepts.
