The PHZH (Zurich University of Teacher Education) aims to provide innovative teaching and learning environments in spaces that can be used in the long term, enabling them to react flexibly to external influences. We worked with students, lecturers and staff in a participatory process to identify current and future requirements for learning spaces and developed a catalog of room types based on them.

• Drafting a process and workflow organization; coordinating with a parallel project
• Conducting interviews with university management pertaining to strategic development
• Conducting two-part, design thinking workshops to develop innovative educational spaces with students, lecturers and staff
• Developing a catalog of room types to establish a basis for further process steps
• Drafting a use concept and an implementation plan for selected learning spaces in a pilot project
