Unabated population growth and ever greater urban concentration are concerns for both the general public and politicians. In a study commissioned by the Swiss Conference of City Finance Directors (KSFD), we examined why urban municipalities in Switzerland are growing at different rates and what effects population development is having. The study outlines five fields of action for dealing with growth and its consequences.
