After proving to be a bottleneck in the Zurich S-Bahn network, Zurich’s Stadelhofen Station is being expanded to increase capacity with a fourth track, surrounding tunnels, and a double-track upgrade in Tiefenbrunnen. As part of the planning consortium BEE+, we handled the general planning mandate from the construction and approval project phase through to execution. Section 3 encompasses the second Hirschengraben tunnel and its connecting structures, the second Zürichberg tunnel and its connecting structures, the second Riesbach tunnel and the double-track extension in the Tiefenbrunnen pre-cut.
