Zurich’s Ulmberg and Enge railway tunnels are one hundred years old. Working on behalf of Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), we are planning the repair work for the vault and base invert, reconstruction of the drainage system and the cable duct system. We are also planning new underground utility recesses, designing the new slab track to replace the old ballasted track, while also drafting of a detailed construction phase plan. The realization under tight operational constraints will take place in 2028 and 2029 with very restrictive conditions in the city center.
