EBP advises on all levels of development of district energy solutions. The use of district energy, whether for heating, cooling or both, is presented as an economically and environmentally very attractive alternative to supply the thermal energy needs of the residential, industrial, commercial and public sectors.
EBP has extensive experience in the development of district energy projects, both in Switzerland and Chile. We have the capacity to advise public and/or private institutions that want to develop district energy projects in the following phases of the project:
Pre-feasibility analysis: analysis of the different variables that affect the performance of a district system, to allow the client to opt for the best decision, under economic, technical and environmental considerations.
Planning tools: Elaboration of macro-level strategies for the development of district heating projects, considering technological, environmental, cultural and political variables.
Business and management models: There are various business and management alternatives under which a district energy project can be developed. EBP provides advice to follow the optimal strategy according to the particular conditions of the project, identifying the existing difficulties in the articulation of actors, technological aspects, and financial aspects.
