A Product Environmental Declaration (EPD) is a document that contains detailed information about the environmental impact of a product based on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), from the extraction of raw materials to its final disposal.
This project involves conducting Life Cycle Assessments for two galvanized steel products (update and/or validation) and two products from the family of insulated polystyrene panels. Through this management, the company emphasizes the sustainability attributes of its products from both a strategic and commercial perspective, which strengthens the company’s positioning as a reference and provides a valuable tool for suppliers and/or customers to compare their products with similar ones.

Objectives:

  1. Identify current and future regulatory aspects related to the decarbonization goal of the construction sector, highlighting the challenges and opportunities for Cintac in the various segments where it competes.
  2. Conduct a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of the manufacturing process for two galvanized steel products (update and/or validation) and two products from the family of insulated polystyrene panels, allowing a detailed understanding of the environmental impacts of the evaluated product range.
  3. Generate one or more Product Environmental Declarations (EPDs) that are representative of the products that generate the highest profits for the company.
  4. Support the development of internal and external communication materials that enable the company to integrate the process at different levels, connect with key stakeholders outside the organization, and position itself as a proactive company in addressing climate change challenges.
