EBP, with the support of experts from INFOR, UACH, SNCL, and independent consultants, is designing and developing a technical manual that proposes best practices for planning and operational execution to implement the action measures of Chile's National Strategy for Climate Change and Vegetation Resources (ENCCRV).

The objective of this consultancy is to design, prepare, and validate a technical manual that proposes the best and most efficient practices for planning and operational execution to implement the action measures of the ENCCRV. This will be based on guiding criteria defined in the ENCCRV document, the specific characteristics of the various vegetation formations present in the country, and the socio-environmental and cultural particularities of the territories where these formations are located.

This consultancy includes the development of a technical manual that encompasses 8 action measures outlined in the ENCCRV, on which the manual is expected to have an impact. These measures are grouped into 6 themes:

1. Reforestation and revegetation with native species
2. Restoration of degraded ecosystems
3. Preventive forestry against fires
4. Sustainable productive management of native forests, based on management criteria
5. Exclusion of livestock
6. Sustainable use of agroforestry residues

The consultancy includes the following activities:

• Analysis, understanding, and critical discussion with stakeholders of the ENCCRV
• Review of background information and national and international experiences
• Design and preparation of the manual in 6 volumes, where each volume will include both the planning dimension and the operational dimension, along with its territorial component
• Validation of the manual
