EBP Chile, in collaboration with the Regenerative NGO, provided technical support to the Energy Community Program of the Ministry of Energy, following up on the implementation of action plans for those municipalities that had developed an Energy Efficiency Strategy (EEL) to date, and assisting the winning municipalities of the first competition of 2015-2016 in the development of their EELs.
During the study's execution, coordination meetings were held with various stakeholders, such as the energy managers of the municipalities of Coyhaique, Temuco, Providencia, Caldera, Antofagasta, Monte Patria, Vitacura, and Peñalolén, where the progress of their action plans was evaluated, and assistance was provided in identifying potential financing mechanisms for their projects.
Additionally, work was done with several regional ministerial secretariats to train the new municipalities that joined the program and to invite new municipalities to become part of the Energy Community.
Finally, various communication aspects were addressed, such as updating the methodological guide for developing EELs and standardizing the summary sheets for the website.
