The Berlin Strategy provides medium- to long-term prospects for the growing city of Berlin. EBP supported the Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development and the Environment in developing the urban development concept.
Historical, political, and social developments have shaped Berlin more than any other city in Europe. Berlin faces the challenge of combining growing economic power and prosperity with a high quality of life while maintaining freedom, creativity, and openness. At the same time, Berlin wants to present itself to the outside world as a competitive and attractive metropolis.
The BerlinStrategy | Urban Development Concept Berlin 2030 shows how the city can achieve these goals. It clarifies what Berlin stands for, where the city is heading, and provides a medium- to long-term perspective for its development. The BerlinStrategy is a concept for the development of the city as a whole. It sets specific content and spatial priorities.
