The aim of this project is to develop a browser-based IT solution for recording, evaluating, georeferencing, and map-based visualization of building material test results in road construction (EQUBAR).

Text

There is currently no nationwide IT procedure for recording, archiving, and evaluating test data in road construction.

Test results for the construction materials used and the layers installed in the road represent a major source of information for deducing future issues, particularly with regard to the relationships between damage and its possible causes. They also serve as a basis for the further development of existing construction methods and building materials and provide the most up-to-date and detailed picture of the condition of the road (in terms of structure and material parameters). An IT system for the use of different road classes is therefore to be implemented for recording, archiving, and evaluating this data.

EBP Deutschland GmbH is planning, developing, and establishing this nationwide standardized database in collaboration with the Federal Information Technology Center and the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. The database covers numerous aspects, such as mobile data collection, dynamic data analysis using R scripts, and long-term observations on the quality of building materials. EQUBAR creates the basis for the digital generation, exchange, and technical evaluation of test data in road construction.
