EBP is continuing to write the 2013 regional energy concepts for the four planning associations Havelland-Fläming, Oderland-Spree, Prignitz-Oberhavel, and Uckermark-Barnim, and is evaluating, standardizing, and further developing existing scenarios and measures.
EBP bases its updating of regional energy concepts on the political and legal framework conditions applicable at national and state level. Together with employees from both EBP Germany and EBP Switzerland, we evaluate targets and potential exploitation, develop new potential and create scenarios from which we derive new fields of action and measures specifically for the regional level. The aim is to provide the regional energy managers in the four regions with an action-oriented working basis for increasing energy efficiency in the regions in the long term, promoting the expansion of renewable energies, and meeting climate protection targets.
The regional energy concepts are updated with the close involvement of regional planning associations in the form of workshops and take local characteristics into account.
We support the four regional planning associations in their efforts to update their regional energy concepts by standardizing the methodology for all four concepts, identifying and exploiting synergies between the regions, involving local stakeholders, and providing them with a tool for upcoming political decisions on energy issues.
