As part of the “Integrated Mobility Plan Eberswalde 2030+,” EBP, as a subcontractor to PTV Transport Consult GmbH, Dresden, has drawn up the noise action plan.
As part of the integrated “Mobility Plan 2030+” for the city of Eberswalde, we have completely revised the existing Noise Action Plan (LAP) from 2008. The LAP is part of the integrated mobility plan, which includes the traffic development plan, the clean air plan, and mobility management.
The aim of the new noise action plan was to examine measures that could provide long-term solutions to relevant noise problems and noise impacts in Eberswalde. The new noise action plan was drawn up in close coordination with the other components of the mobility plan.
All road sections with traffic volumes exceeding 3 million vehicles per year were examined in terms of their noise situation and the degree of impact on the population and the outdoor environment was assessed. To this end, we worked with our colleagues at EBP Switzerland to develop a computer-assisted, three-dimensional noise model. Based on this model and in conjunction with the other project components, we identified potential noise reduction measures and proposed suitable measures to reduce noise pollution. We presented and discussed the results of the noise action planning at several public events. Finally, an evaluation tool was created to help monitor the progress of implementation and the improvements in traffic, noise, and air quality achieved by the measures taken.
