The municipality of Zeuthen has established a climate protection management system and has employed a climate protection manager since May 2023. EBP is supporting her in developing the climate protection concept, particularly with regard to the GHG balance, potential analysis, and scenarios.

EBP already supported Zeuthen in 2021 in laying the foundations for establishing municipal climate protection and developed the technical basis for further climate protection activities as part of its climate protection focus consulting. As a result of the focus consulting, the municipality has submitted a funding application for climate protection and implementation management, which has now been successfully launched with the appointment of a new staff member.
EBP supports the climate protection manager in individual components of the climate protection concept. Specifically, our services include support with energy and greenhouse gas accounting, the development of a potential analysis, and the creation of climate protection scenarios. In addition, a condensed vulnerability analysis in the area of climate adaptation is being prepared. The results will be prepared in text and graphic form for inclusion in the climate protection concept.
