The objective of Due Diligence/ Site Assessment is to prepare a report that presents an evaluation of the legal conformity with the applicable environmental regulations as well as evidence and facts that signify high probability of the existence of site contamination in the area. 

The report also presents environmental liabilities, corrective actions and recommendations for compliance & restoration with timelines.  

Our Services

Due Diligence audits may follow guidelines established by the following standards and norms:

  • Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessment (ASTM) latest standard E1527, adapted and expanded to meet the particularities of each work.
  • National and Local regulatory standards for Environment, Health and safety.

     

The Phase 1 environmental site assessment is carried out based on available historical information and site inspection with the objective of identifying potentially contaminated areas and suspected areas of contamination, or identifying source areas and sources. The observations are classified as: Recognized Environmental Conditions (REC) Historical Recognized Environmental Conditions (HREC) Controlled Recognized Environmental Condition (CREC) and DE MINIMIS condition. 

The execution of the preliminary environmental assessment carried out by the environmental auditor allows:

  • Document the existence of evidence or facts that lead to suspicion or confirmation of contamination in the areas under assessment.
  • Establish the initial conceptual model for each area of environmental assessment.
  • Verify the need to adopt emergency measures in the areas.
  • Prepare the Environmental site assessment report recommending measures to be adopted.
