We work with community groups, research centers, government entities, nonprofits, and private organizations in identifying barriers to equitable service provision. We work alongside these organizations to understand the distribution of benefits and burdens generated by projects, programs, and policies and to identify solutions to fill gaps with innovative, community-informed approaches.

Our services include:

  • Engaging community members and stakeholders in planning and decision-making
  • Identifying and providing recommendations for organizations to improve the fairness and inclusiveness of internal organizational procedures and external planning processes
  • Performing statistical and spatial analyses to evaluate the distribution of impacts and opportunities across different communities from current and future transportation and regional development conditions
  • Developing analyses that leverage granular information about people’s choices and experiences to assess, model, and estimate disaggregate and intersectional impacts of infrastructure and policy decisions
  • Assessing the relationship between infrastructure and policy choices and patterns of historical and current disadvantage or marginalization

EBP combines rigorous technical analysis with community-informed approaches to develop analyses and solutions that are reputable, holistic, and most importantly, fit the needs of the communities most impacted. We seek to support the clients and communities we serve in righting historical wrong doings and approach each project with the goal of improving on current conditions and minimizing future inequities wherever possible.
