The transportation landscape is always changing. As technology and mobility co-evolve, micro and shared mobility options such as e-bikes, e-scooters, and Transportation Network Companies (TNCs) like Uber and Lyft have expanded the number of travel options available. At the same time, new fuel sources, modes, trip planning and booking technologies, and information systems are always on the horizon. These technologies and services have begun to change vehicle ownership patterns and disrupt travel behavior.

We adopt an interdisciplinary approach to assess the impacts of these changes. Our services include:

  • Best practice research on equitable technology deployment
  •  Incorporating cutting edge survey and data analysis to understand changes to travel behavior
  • Performance-based evaluation of mobility innovation, identifying impacts to travelers, agencies, communities, and economies
  • Assessment of up-stream and down-stream social and economic effects, including how policies may manage or multiply impacts

Our insights on new mobility paradigms enhance traditional planning and evaluation work, helping clients address questions around these uncertain, emerging issues.
